| I'm Kissing You| Dorothy Anna Taylor |

With an early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer in the beginning of February - the decline was quick and painful. She stayed faithful through it all and left us peacefully in her own bed after a series of stays at various hospitals specializing in cancer treatment. My doppelganger of sorts, a veritable recipe of God and glamour, a pious pillar to her end - my grandmother, Dorothy A. Taylor encompassed a lot of what I am today. I will miss her. We all will miss her. MANY THANKS TO THOSE YOU OFFERED TO DONATE TO HER FAVORITE CHARITY. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A SMALL CONTRIBUTION IN HER NAME TO RBC MINISTRIES, YOU CAN DO SO HERE: RBC.ORG JANUARY 15TH, 1934 - APRIL 30TH, 2009 Services May 9th, 2009

 I'll always remember you smiling.
I am with you always, even to the end of the age. —Matthew 28:20
Love you, A

I've had some time to sleep. Finally. My nights have been a bit restless and I've not really wrapped my head around what's happening - well except for the nightmares. I don't usually drink but I have been lately. Dirty martinis until sunrise and it's making me sick. I'm over it. I'll go back to smoking, ty.
They'd transferred her to Northwestern to try all the "last options". Well, tens of thousands of dollars later and now they're letting her go home. To die. It's been a hard few months. Watching your close loved one slip from the world, so quickly, so dramatically, in so much pain - it's a horrible thing to bear. And my family has recently been cut in half. All of our matriarchs and most of our patriarchs have passed in the last 2 years or so, on both my mother's AND father's side. I'm trying to be as strong as I can, have faith, pray... It's leaving a big hole in me.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN SUPPORTIVE. IT MEANS ALOT. SERIOUSLY.
It's just fucking rough. Please excuse me for being a constant downer on your social networks. I promise to return to nondescript fetscene posts asap.
Btw, I'm taking a stand and going drama repellant. Too old and busy. 25 going on 60. I'm going to drown myself in work. I live best when I can't think of anything but work...

Let us review. Steve Prue takes amazing pictures of gorgeous women and I get to play dress up. Fantastic things happen when these individual ingredients are stirred up together and baked into fab-berry pie. The recent birthday girl, Raquel Reed, shot these images just days after her big 21st. She's such a doll! Swoon*

Just looked over Myspace. Noticed a line addition to a designer's work that looks very similar to two other artists work. I would like to see LESS BLATANT borrowing from fellow designers work. Are we NOT designers?
I may have to blog about it. BTW, we're getting slews of hits a day. YAY!
EDIT: Got fabric today! Dark brown, jade green and turquoise. I can stop dying now.

| Work... |
[01 Apr 2009|11:14am] |
So, I've been looking for an intern for some time. Things have been busy so it's fallen on the back burner but things are looking up. I've got an interview over the weekend and one on Monday. Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed THIS time. Both seem to have a good amount of experience - no decisions yet.. We'll see soon enough.
I got a pic back from Ancilla / Marla Rutherford from October. I 'm pretty stoked about it - it does make me remember how much I miss the EU'ers.
I've got shitloads of orders to fill... Back to it I go..

DARENZIA by TEAMROCKSTAR features RESORT 2009 PID MAILLOT in OUVERT IDENTITY PRINT
LJ FRIENDS EDIT| I'm working on a wicked piece for Dante Posh which unfortunately won't be finished until after the show. If you liked Angela's pink crop top, you'll fall dead over DDP's pencil dress ;) Feel weird about posting this stuff on FTTIC.
Working on K's site... see @ ROBOTPANICMUSIC.COM - it's still a little grimy but should be done + shiny soon (also post show).
I think I'm gonna shower - it's been awhile I think. Soooo worked.

| HOUSE OF BIAS cont. |
[01 Mar 2009|03:14am] |
Even though it was horribly stressful at the time, I completely enjoyed making this set. The top has a fun little detail you can't see... three loop + eye buttons that stretch across the bust... <3's Oh and the capris have little contrast zippers on the side hems. They are pink with brass zippers to match the whole pink/black/gold scheme.
BTW, I love Angela Ryan. She's such a chameleon. Her looks vary so widely it's really fun to get stuffs back from her.
Now, I just need to get Dante in her wares... Angela Ryan by Shannon Brooke - All latex by HOB

| Because we're without email: |
[27 Feb 2009|12:01pm] |
This will be crossposted everywhere and should soon be visible from the front page of the main site.
For the past week we've been having server blackouts, disrupting our email and essentially not delivering a mass of current mail. Our host is working on the issue and things should be resolved shortly. Additionally, we've had a dozen or so packages returned due to insufficient postage thanks to the relatively new implementation of a faulty scale that produced inaccurate readouts. These packages will be resent over this weekend with a bonus "I'm sorry for the wait" gift certificate for our wonderful clientele's patience and understanding during this sensitive time. We will be updating those recipient's tracking numbers - items will be delivered via FedEx. Thank you + again our apologies for this disruption, Alex - HOUSE OF BIAS
